This site is about learning to cope with life changes by practicing happiness and resilience habits. If you need medical attention or are dealing with more serious mental health issues (such as abuse or violence, addiction, grief and loss, serious or chronic illness or suicidal thoughts) please reach out to a qualified medical professional.
If you like my site, here are some other balance, happiness and resilience resources you may find useful.
Happiness & Resilience Sites
For general content and research, I love Arianna Huffington’s Thrive, which is all about ending the stress and burnout epidemic; as well as the UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center which studies the psychology, sociology, and neuroscience of well-being, and teaches skills that foster a thriving, resilient, and compassionate society. I also love Psychology Today for really digestible but reliable scientific content.
These sites are also great resources if you’re looking for more community or support rather than educational reading:
- Blurt increases awareness and understanding of depression.
- The Mighty is a safe, supportive community for people facing health challenges and people who care for them.
- The Mental Elf helps you stay up-to-date with important and reliable mental health research and guidance.
- ReachOut is Australia’s leading online mental health organisation for young people and their parents.
This blog is one of many resources on happiness and resilience. If you’re looking for some more inspiration, check out Feedspot’s Top 75 Happiness Blogs, which includes great sites such as Zen Habits and Gretchen Rubin.
Happiness & Resilience Books
